Frequently Asked Questions
1. What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable athletic or athleisure clothing that allows you to move freely. For Reformer classes, we recommend form-fitting clothing so instructors can see your alignment. Grip socks are required for all classes and available for purchase at the studio. Avoid loose jewelry and tie back long hair.
2. When should I arrive for class?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in, store your belongings, and prepare for class. Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time, and studio doors will be locked 5 minutes after class starts. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, you will not be admitted and will forfeit your class with no refund or credit.
3. What is your cancellation policy?
You must cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled class to avoid a late cancellation. Cancellations made within the 12-hour window will be recorded as a late cancellation on your account. A $5 fee will be charged on your 3rd late cancellation and each occurrence thereafter. You can cancel through our booking system or by contacting us at embodystudio320@gmail.com or (347) 795-6320.
4. What happens if I no-show for a class?
If you do not show up for a scheduled class without cancelling, it will be marked as a no-show. A $5 no-show fee will be charged after your 1st no-show and each occurrence thereafter. Repeated no-shows may result in membership review. If you have any concerns, please reach out to us at embodystudio320@gmail.com or (347) 795-6320 and we’ll always work with you.
5. What makes Embody Studio different?
Embody Studio is more than a place to work out- it’s a space to slow down, connect, and truly be present in your body. Rooted in community, inclusivity, and mindful movement, our classes are designed to empower you physically and mentally in an environment that feels both elevated and welcoming. In addition to thoughtfully designed classes, we offer a comfortable lounge area where clients are encouraged to relax before or after class rather than rush out the door.
We intentionally schedule 10-minute intervals between classes to allow time for thoughtful transitions, questions with instructors, and organic connection between clients. This pacing creates a safe, welcoming environment where community can grow naturally and everyone feels supported- both on and off the mat.
If you miss a class without canceling, you will forfeit that class with no refund or credit. Repeated no-shows (3 or more in a 30-day period) may result in membership suspension or termination. Please respect our instructors and fellow students by canceling in advance if you cannot attend.
6. What membership options do you offer?
We offer several membership plans to fit your needs:
- Unlimited Reformer: Unlimited Reformer Pilates classes
- Unlimited Mat/Yoga: Unlimited Mat Pilates and Yoga classes
- Unlimited Combo: Unlimited access to all class types
- Class Packs: Purchase class credits that expire 42 days from purchase date
Founding member rates are locked in for life as long as your membership remains active and in good standing. Monthly memberships renew automatically on the same day each month.
7. Can I freeze or cancel my membership?
Freezing: Monthly memberships may be frozen for a minimum of 1 week and maximum of 1 month per year with 7 days’ advance notice. A $25/month freeze fee applies, and your billing/expiration dates will be extended by the freeze duration.
Canceling: To cancel your monthly membership, provide 30 days’ written notice via email to embodystudio320@gmail.com. Your membership will remain active through the 30-day notice period.
8. Do class pack credits expire?
Yes. Class pack credits expire 42 days from the date of purchase. Unused credits will not be refunded or extended beyond the expiration date. We recommend purchasing packs based on your realistic attendance schedule.
9. I’m new to Pilates/Yoga. Which class should I take?
We welcome all levels! Our “All Levels” Reformer, Mat Pilates. and Yoga classes are perfect for beginners through experienced practitioners. Instructors provide modifications and progressions to meet you where you are. If you have specific injuries or concerns, please arrive early to speak with your instructor before class begins.
10. What if I’m pregnant, postpartum, or injured?
Your safety is our priority. If you’re pregnant, postpartum, or managing an injury, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before attending class and informing your instructor prior to class. While we offer modifications, not all classes may be suitable for every condition.
11. Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. All members must complete our liability waiver before attending their first class, acknowledging the physical risks associated with Pilates and yoga. You are responsible for informing instructors of any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations before each class. Your safety is our priority.
12. What is your refund policy?
All memberships and class packs are non-refundable. Classes cancelled less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time will result in forfeiture of the class with no refund or credit issued. No-shows will also forfeit their class with no refund or credit. If you have concerns about your membership or experience, please contact us at embodystudio320@gmail.com or (347) 795-6320 and we’ll work with you to find a solution.
13. What is your grace period policy?
We offer a 5-minute grace period at the start of each class. If you arrive within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time, you will still be welcomed in. However, if you arrive more than 5 minutes after class has begun, you will be denied entry and the studio doors will be locked. Late arrivals will forfeit their class with no refund or credit issued. We strongly encourage all clients to arrive 5–10 minutes early to check in, get settled, and prepare for class.
14. What is your guest policy?
Only registered participants are permitted in the studio. No children or plus ones are allowed unless they are registered participants. Guests may not enter the studio more than 10 minutes before the scheduled class start time. Embody Studio reserves the right to deny entry to any unregistered individuals.
15. What if I arrive early to class?
We love the enthusiasm! However, out of respect for the class currently in session, clients may not enter the studio more than 10 minutes before their scheduled class start time. If you arrive earlier than that, we kindly ask that you wait outside until the 10-minute window opens. We appreciate your patience and understanding- it helps us maintain a calm, focused environment for everyone!
