The Birth of Embody Studio
Embody Studio was born from lived experience, shared values, and a deep desire to redefine what wellness can look and feel like.
Founders Soraya and Divine- both women of color, born and raised in Brooklyn- were surrounded by incredibly strong, selfless women growing up. Women who poured endlessly into their families, communities, and responsibilities, often placing their own needs last. Self-care- whether through movement, beauty, rest, or mental well-being- was rarely modeled as a priority, but rather seen as a luxury or something to be earned.
A Journey of Redefinition
As Soraya and Divine navigated their own journeys through womanhood- and eventually, motherhood- they began to redefine what self-care meant to them. What once felt unrealistic or out of reach slowly revealed itself as something far more fundamental: a right, not a privilege.
They discovered that the more intentionally they poured into themselves, the more grounded, present, and connected they felt- not only within their own bodies, but in their relationships and daily lives.
Movement and wellness became more than a routine. They became a way to reconnect inward, and outward. A way to feel stronger, softer, more capable, and more whole.
From Vision to Reality
From that understanding, Embody Studio came to life.
Embody is envisioned as a beautiful fitness sanctuary- one that feels both elevated and welcoming. A space designed for intentional movement, meaningful connection, and community. A place where anyone, regardless of background or experience, can walk in and feel seen, supported, and cared for.
Our Mission
Our mission is to gently reshape how we view wellness and self-care- not as something indulgent or exclusive, but as something essential. A practice of returning to ourselves, even when life feels full.
Embody Studio is, at its core, a space to:

- Recharge
- Challenge ourselves with intention
